For those of us who remain uninvited to the exclusive FFFFOUND! image bookmarking community, there is now Image Spark. And hallelujah, because I was getting desperate.

dear mandy: sounds lovely. and probably is, but when i visit image spark, i get a message telling me that i must upgrade my browser to something more “modern.”
of course, I would do so, but I am at work and cannot “choose” my browser. i guess maybe i shouldn’t browse at work, but what else can i do at 10:30pm when i am just sitting by the phone waiting for a parent or some hospital employee to call.
bummer, because i’d really like to use their service, but it seems that they’ve decided that any company that can’t afford to upgrade their old dell XP PCs really shouldnt be allowed to be cool.
ok, now that’s off my chest, i will check out your page on my day off at home using firefox.

Jenn, here’s more info about the situation than you probably want to know:
It’s likely not so much that they “can’t afford to upgrade their old dell XP PCs,” it’s that the IT departments of many a corporate environment won’t simply upgrade the installed web browser from Internet Explorer 6 to something more modern. (Like, say, Internet Explorer 7. Or 8. Or Firefox.) Typically in larger organizations, it’s because they have custom intranet stuff or web apps that were written specifically for IE6 and if they upgrade, those apps will break.
Trouble is, IE6 is a terrible, terrible 8-year-old web browser that doesn’t fully support a number of standards established as far back as 1996 for web development. So I can’t fault Image Spark for not supporting it; half the stuff the site does so well likely wouldn’t even work in IE6 with a ton of time and money thrown at the issue(s).
Fault Microsoft. They made the worst web browser ever, and then neglected to get their customers to upgrade when they made two more versions of it to try and fix their problems.
See, I told you it was more than you wanted to know.
